A CROWD-PLEASING TREAT!
You had me at caramel. You will always have me at caramel. Because chocolate is a given, but caramel, oh man! That stuff is the tipping point for me. Caramello is and will always be my favorite candy bar because of it. That ooey gooey caramel spilling out with each bite. OMG. I think I need to go get one right now. Anyway, before I run out and do that, I’ve fallen hard down a pound cake hole lately.
It started with one that shattered my previous perception of pound cake being a ho-hum kind of offering. Something I’d rather ignore at the church potluck in favor of saving my calories for something better. Oh but no, dears. When it’s good pound cake, you’ve really got to go for it. That’s what I’ve learned. So, back to my pound cake spree. This one got me where it hurts in the most delightful way. It’s got toffee, pecans and best of all, caramel. Sweet, oozing caramel.
