START A CHOCOLATY TRADITION!
Fudge is so easy to make that it’s hard to believe something so luscious takes so little effort. If you’re just learning to cook and bake, fudge is a great way to get warmed up.
You’ll want to foil your pan – not in the trickery sort of way either. I meant with aluminum foil. Butter that foil too so you’ll have an easier time with the fudge after. You’ll mix the sugars, milk and butter and get it to a rapid boil. Don’t stop stirring. Keep it going for 5 minutes. Then you can take it away from the heat and stir in those marshmallows and the vanilla.
Slowly stir in both the chocolate chips and chopped chocolate until melted. Next, if you want nuts, add the pecans. If you would prefer to have nut-free fudge, simply omit them. Alternatively, if you like nuts but don’t like pecans, you can try using a different nut to suit your tastes, like almonds for example. Nuts or not, you’ll want to spread it straight away into your pan. It needs to refrigerate for a minimum of an hour before you can cut it. This makes a LOT of fudge, so be ready to share!
