TIME FOR A LITTLE BANANARAMA!
So, I gotta tell you that not only is this banana pudding WAY better than any box stuff you’ve ever had but it’s also just as easy. You’ll whisk the milk into a saucepan with flour, sugar and salt until it bubbles up and gets thick. Once you take care of that, you’ll have a slightly tricky part.
You’ll whisk the eggs in a small bowl and then you’ll whisk a small amount of that hot mixture into the eggs. You’ll then return it all to the pan, all the while whisking constantly. This is crucial to keeping the eggs from scrambling on you. Don’t panic…you’ll be fine as long as you keep moving. You’ll let that cool and then you’ll start the layering process, which is pretty fun.
The not-so-fun part of course is waiting for it to chill for a minimum of 4 hours. Honestly, make this at night so that when you wake up, it’s ready. I can’t stop thinking about things I have to chill all night. I get so excited for the morning! And with a recipe like this, you’ll understand why.
