THE LIFE OF THE PARTY!
I think I mentioned that my friend Trish is getting ready to have her third baby. Soon, she’s going to have her hands VERY full. To give her some space before the baby comes, her husband kindly enrolled their 2 daughters in a 2-week day camp so Trish could try to relax a bit. But as that camp rolls to an end, there will be a party of course. Trish is one of those people that won’t let anything stop her from sharing or helping out. But she’s about a week away from giving birth and we all just want her to take it easy. So I told Trish to sit her butt down and that I would bring her a wonderful treat that her husband could drop off with the girls on the last day of camp.
I needed something big and amazing, but also something easy to make as well as easy to transport. And then I found it with this Texas turtle sheet cake. How can you say no to a gigantic cake covered in chocolate frosting, caramel and pecans? Exactly. So I got busy making this. It was really hard not cutting out a slice for myself. It smelled heavenly. And Trish says it really made everyone’s day at the day camp. If you’ve got a lot of people to make dessert for, make this crowd-pleasing cake that is impossible to ruin, or to resist. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make this Texas Turtle Sheet Cake.
