CARRYING ON A FINE ITALIAN TRADITION!
When I was a kid, we’d usually take a trip every winter to visit my cousins in New Jersey. We got to play in the snow and do all kinds of northeastern things that we never did at home, largely because I’m from the south and it’s all kinds of different down there. Anyway, my cousins had this best friend in the neighborhood and when we went over to his house after playing, his Italian grandma who was always visiting for the holidays would be busy cooking and baking everything Italian. From dinners to desserts, this woman made enough food for an army and all of it was good. She made me wish I had an Italian grandma.
But her heart, as were her portions of food, was quite large. She was always making us eat everything and that was fine by us. One of the desserts she liked to make were those traditional Italian sugar cookies. And I had not had one as perfect as hers in all these years until I found this recipe. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Tender Italian Sugar Cookies.
