WHEN LIVE GIVES YOU LEMONS…
I might forget at least one thing at the supermarket each week. Last week, it was toilet paper. And when I realized it, I had to run right back out because we were on our last roll and my husband tends to use it up like it’s going out of style. Go ahead and laugh, but I’m sure I’m not the only forgetful one. Oddly though, there is one thing I always remember to buy, no matter what – lemons. I love adding a slice to my water to make it more refreshing. I love using it when I’m cooking dinner to add a little tang of acidity to fish or chicken. It just adds more complexity to the flavor.
And of course, I love baking with lemons because once in a while, you need something with that sweet, tangy lemon flavor instead of that strong, rich chocolate taste. Plus, with a lemon pound cake like this recipe, you can get away with having it for breakfast. Or serving it with tea in the afternoon. And no one would ever complain about having it after dinner, I can promise you that. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Lemon Pound Cake Loaves.
