FRITTER AWAY YOUR DAY!
To make apple fritters as awesome as possible, you’re going to need to fry them. The recipe calls for using an electric skillet. If you don’t have one, a regular skillet will work just fine. When the oil is hot enough, you’ll drop spoonfuls of the batter into it. It’s crucial to get the batter hot enough. Otherwise you’ll wind up with oily blobs that disperse and then don’t become fritters.
Before you even get this going, make sure you line a plate with paper towels so you can pop the finished fritters right onto their to drain. Don’t let them sit there too long though. You’ll need to roll them in the sugar. This is a wonderful weekend breakfast surprise for your family or guests. It could also be dessert.
