SWEET HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER!
One thing I love about this cake is that it takes a box mix of German chocolate cake and elevates it. You’re basically just adding some more things to it and the end result is mega-deliciousness. One of those things are soft caramels that you’ll melt. Do yourself a huge favor and get extra because if your kids come in while you’re unwrapping them, they won’t stop pestering you until they get a piece or two. And well, you’ll want to eat some too because what fun is cooking and baking if you can’t have a little taste or a few nibbles here and there, right?
Keep in mind that when you first pour the batter, you are only pouring HALF in to bake first. Then after it bakes for 20 minutes, you’ll be pouring on the caramel and pecans and then you will top it with the remainder of the batter. This is very important for getting that wonderful center we discussed before. So who are you going to make this for today?
