YOU’RE JUST 55 MINUTES AWAY FROM YUM!
So here’s how you get things cooking. Or baking, rather. You’ll need to chop up a Granny Smith apple as finely as you can get it. Using smaller bits of it will help it to almost melt into the bread, giving it that seamless blend of bread and apples that glides off the palate. Bigger chunks won’t ruin it but it is worth considering if you want the right texture.
If you’re new to baking, this is a great one to start with. Not just because it’s so fabulous, but also because it’s a cinch to put together. Really, no fooling. Just combine the ingredients, pour the batter into a 9×5 loaf pan, and then top with the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Then grab a good book, watch something you like on TV, play with the kids, or daydream about being on a sunny beach with a handsome hunk bringing you fruity cocktails all day. I won’t judge. Just busy yourself so that 55 minutes flies right by while your bread bakes up.
