THE ROOT OF ALL DELICIOUSNESS!
While many fudge recipes allow for you to get things melting in the microwave, you’ll need to do this one on the stove top. What’s important here is to be sure you separate your mixture into two parts. One part will be more vanilla-y. That’s the first part. You’ll pour about 1/3 of it into a bowl and then you’ll add root beer concentrate to the remainder. The root beer concentrate will give it that nice, brown root beer color we all know and love. And if you’re wondering, McCormick makes a root beer concentrate that’s pretty easy to find.
Pour the root beer flavored mixture into your greased and lined pan first and then spread it, followed by the vanilla mixture. Then you’ll play that fun waiting game with the fridge. Poking your head in every so often to see if it has set. Give it at least an hour to chill. Then reward your patience repeatedly.
