4 INGREDIENTS TO FUDGE!
This is such a simple and delightful recipe any time of the year. You can make it when you feel a snack attack for something sweet strike, or you can make it for the holidays. Or you can make it always. I’ll never judge you. Fudge is also great for beginners because it’s simple and yields such high rewards. It just looks incredible when it’s finished and the taste is unbeatable too.
Line your baking pan with foil and then grease it. Life is complicated enough. Don’t make things more complicated. You’ll use the microwave to melt your chocolate chips and the sweetened condensed milk. Do it in intervals because you want to get it to be completely melted and smooth. If you’re impatient and microwave for too long at a time, you’ll wind up with crunchy, burnt-ish chocolate that will make you cry. When it’s smooth, fold in your marshmallows and nuts. Incidentally, you can use whatever kind of nuts you feel like for this. Cashews, almonds, peanuts, walnuts, pecans…whatever you want. Anything goes.
Could you leave them out? Well, sure, BUT…then it won’t really be a rocky road. It will be like a marshy road, which I guess could work if you wanted to make it for someone with nut allergies. Anyway, once you get it in your pan, let it set for an hour or so before cutting it up. And then, voila! Fabulous fudge with just 4 ingredients!
I found this wonderfully simple recipe from the Six Sisters’ Stuff blog. Click below to see the blog and the full recipe for this Rocky Road Fudge.
