AN OOEY GOOEY TREAT!
How did monkey bread get its name? In the name of research, I went over to Wikipedia and had a look. You know, they don’t know over there either. They say it quite possibly is because of its resemblance to the fruit on the monkey puzzle tree. But I’m not buying that. Maybe this bread makes you monkey around. Or maybe because you have to pull it apart? But what does that have to do with monkeys? Do monkeys even eat bread? It’s not made with monkeys or anything having to do with monkeys so someone please enlighten me here!!!!! Ahhhhh!
Ok, I’m cool. Sorry, y’all. Anyway, this variety of monkey bread is a real treat because it’s covered with caramel and pecans and it’s got that pull-apart ooey gooey quality to it. This is so messy but sometimes it’s so good getting so sticky. That kind of sounds wrong, but go with it. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make this Praline-Pecan Monkey Bread.
