ONLY 9 INGREDIENTS!
True that the crust on these bars is made from a box of cake mix, it’s still so much better and fresher than the Oreo dessert box mix. You’ve got to try these! So first, you’ll mix your cake mix, butter and egg until they’re smooth. Press that down into the pan you prepared before all this. Now pull out your best helper in the kitchen, your mixer. Beat the cream cheese mixture together. Once it’s down, save some of that for later. The original poster just says to eye it out. In the mixture that remains, add cocoa powder, melted butter and egg. Beat this until it’s smooth.
You’ll spread this over the top of the cake mix. Bake until it sets, about 30 minutes and then let it cool. Once it’s cool, stir half of your chopped up Oreos into the cream cheese mixture you set aside. Fold in thawed Cool Whip and mix until smooth. Then spread this on the cooled base. Top with the rest of your chopped Oreos and chill for a minimum of one hour. There you go. A way better than box Oreo dessert! Yum!
