5 INGREDIENTS ‘TIL FUN!
This can be a great last-minute addition to a party line-up. While it looks like fun for a kid’s birthday party, it can also keep kids (and adults!) happy at a picnic or potluck. When you get the popcorn ready, make sure you pour it out of the bag and into a bowl to pick out the unpopped kernels. You don’t want those teeth-breakers lurking around in your cake. What an unwelcome surprise that would be. You’ll then add your M&M’s and broken pretzel sticks to the bowl. And then you’ll melt the butter with the marshmallows on the stove until it gets smooth. Let it cool while you stir it continuously. Don’t stop for about 2 minutes and then you can pour it all over the popcorn mixture in the bowl.
Mix all the ingredients together and then press them into your prepared pan. It needs to cool for about an hour and when it’s ready, you’ll need to use a butter knife around the edges to help pry it loose from the pan. While you can store it for up to a day when you cover it tightly, the original poster cautioned it tastes best the same day it’s made. I agree. While there wasn’t much left of this after I made it and tried it out, the popcorn wasn’t as fresh which ruins the whole feel of it. When you make this, serve it the same day and make sure everyone enjoys it at its prime.
