WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA…!
Sorry, I couldn’t help but start singing that. My kids love Spongebob and I have to admit I do too. What? It’s a funny show. Squidward just gets me.
Anyway, about this cake…make life easier on yourself and spray your bundt pan REALLY well with non-stick cooking spray. You need to flour it too and the original poster suggests a spray with added flour already in it so it’s like killing two birds with one stone. This recipe is also mega-easy because you’ll use a boxed yellow cake mix. Pudding mix along with the pineapples and juices from the pineapples will further increase the moistness of this sweet and refreshing cake.
You’ll make a mixture of pineapple juice, vanilla, powdered sugar and melted butter while the cake bakes. As soon as you pull it out of the oven, poke holes in it about ½-inch apart. You can use a skewer or if you have chopsticks you don’t often get to use, here’s a great way to use them. You’ll pour the mixture over so it goes into the holes. Don’t forget to add the glaze after the cake has soaked up all the mixture and cooled, which will take a good 40 minutes or so. The waiting is the hardest part but you and your taste buds will get to enjoy your hard work soon enough!
I found this refreshingly sweet recipe from the Six Sisters’ Stuff blog. Click the link below to see the blog and the full recipe for this Pineapple Poke Bundt Cake.
