TALK ABOUT A PECAN DELIGHT!
The crust on this is something else. It’s buttery and sweet and serves as the perfect vehicle to delivering the pecans to your mouth. If you’re pressed for time though, you could use a pre-made crust. Otherwise you’ll need to chill the dough in your baking pan for a good 20 minutes and then bake it for 20 minutes. That’s about 40 minutes of time devoted to making just the crust. And while indeed it’s worth it, if you have a lot of other baking to do, you can easily save yourself some time by cutting corners. Or crust in this case.
While the crust cools, you’ll make the filling. This is the easy part. While the filling is hot, you’ll pour it into your cooled crust and then bake it. It’s a little bit tricky getting it out of the pan so be very careful. You’ll let it cool first and then you can use a knife to loosen it from the pan.
