DON’T GO BROWNIE..GO BLONDIE!
My parents liked to take my brother and me out to eat because they enjoyed going out to eat and so did we. They trained us well when we were small so we knew how to behave. And oh man, if we didn’t, we knew we were toast. My brother and I also knew that if we were good, we could count on dessert. My parents would take us to the places that had desserts we notoriously gobbled down. My dad to this day swears that everyone has a dessert stomach. I believe it. You know how you eat a nice, big meal and you’re so full, you can’t take another bite of the deliciousness. Then, the server comes up and asks if you want dessert and suddenly, you’re ready to go again.
Anyway, our dessert stomachs were always ready to take on the blondies at this one restaurant in the mall. It was whatever Ruby Tuesday’s was before it became Ruby Tuesday’s. It might not have even been related to it at all ever, but I just remember it this way. Blondies are like non-chocolate brownie, if that makes any sense.
