THE EASIEST THING YOU’LL DO ALL WEEK!
Bars are absolutely the lazy man’s (or woman’s) dessert. Okay, maybe ‘lazy’ is the wrong word here but really, this is so much simpler than making pie crust and making a traditional pie. Plus, you cut these babies up and let everyone grab one on their own. No need to stand around slicing up pieces for people.
First, you’ll mix up the crust ingredients here. But unlike a traditional pie, this is a snap. It needs to be mixed until crumbly and then you just press it down in your greased pan. Bake it for a little bit, just until it sets. Then comes the fun with the filling. Combine the ingredients together, adding the pecans last. Then pour it onto the crust. Bake some more and then when it’s done, cool it. You’ll store these in the fridge until it’s time to serve them but be sure to cut them into bars first!
