AN ABSOLUTE CROWD-PLEASER!
My parents don’t live in the same city, but they don’t live too far a drive away either. It only FEELS long because the children can’t go 10 minutes without either whining or bickering, or both. Recently, we popped over for a weekend to spend time with them. Mom’s an insanely good cook. You can’t help but drool a little when she starts going on about what she’s going to make for you. She was trying to decide on a dessert to make for the kids and she wound up going with a chocolate cream pie but we were really craving a pecan pie. I know it’s more holiday traditional, but who says you can’t make one any time of the year, right?
When we’d gone for dinner recently, we enjoyed pecan pie as one of the dessert selections on a set menu. It almost matched Mom’s pecan pie in deliciousness. Almost. Between all these things, it made me start craving pecan pie. And then in the midst of that, some friends invited us for a potluck. It was like the stars were aligning so that I could make these pecan bars. Don’t you love when everything falls into place like that? Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Pecan Pie Bars for a Crowd.
