ONLY 7 INGREDIENTS!
You’ve probably got all of this in your pantry right now. Ok, I had to run out for pecans but that’s only because my husband ate them and then didn’t tell me. He’s so sneaky like that. Nuts are not safe in my house. I would hide them from him but he always tracks them down. Maybe he’s part squirrel… Anyway, this is easier than you’d ever expect. You melt your butter and then stir in with your sugars, all by hand. Get that arm workout, girl! Beat your eggs together first and then add them. Then you’ll add your flour and stir until it is lump-free. On to the pecans and vanilla!
Regarding that flour, you’ll need to use self-rising flour. Do not use any other kind of flour, though if you have all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt, the original poster tells you how to make your own at the end of the recipe. Do not over-bake these because then they won’t be chewy. They’d be pecan crunchies and that’s not what we’re going for here.
