MORE THAN A FILLING!
Please note that in the link to the recipe, there’s a link to whoopie pies which you’ll need to follow to get the recipe for the whoopie part. The frosting filling is what is linked. If you would like to make whoopie, err, whoopie pie, without peanut butter cups and without any peanut butter taste, that link has a great birthday cake filling for the whoopie pies. You can opt to make any kind, really. It’s such a fun and versatile recipe that you can change up and have something different every time.
As for the peanut butter cup filling, it takes only 3 ingredients to get you there. You will be absolutely amazed that something this insanely delicious came about from these 3 things. My mind is still boggled. Remember to bake up your whoopie pies first and allow them to cool. Then when you make this frosting-filling, you can simply spread it on the bottom of one whoopie and top with the other for a whoopie pie of epic proportions. Also, keep in mind you want the frosting thicker than you would for a cake or some other treat because it will bind the 2 ends together. Just something to think about.
I found this tasty recipe on the Cookies and Cups blog. Click the link below to see the blog and full recipe for these Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard Whoopie Pies.
