FOR WHEN PIE AND COBBLER CAN’T!
Peaches are one of those fruits that are just so enjoyable on their own and in desserts. They’re so juicy and sweet and so…peachy. To me, peaches are both southern and summery. So it’s fitting I’d find this peach crumble recipe to play with. I know what you’re thinking…why a crumble? Why not a pie or a cobbler? Isn’t it the same as a cobbler? Well, yes and no. See, a pie can be all kinds of trouble on a hot summer day. And a cobbler? Well, it’s a lot less trouble for sure. And a crumble? Oh honey, it’s the easiest thing in the world!
The key difference between the cobbler and the crumble is that there is egg in the crumble’s crumble. It’s also a great dessert to make if you don’t want to worry about perfection. I mean, the taste is perfection but the appearance isn’t the most beautiful thing in the world. But that’s okay because when you serve it, you can top it with ice cream and I can tell you no one will care it didn’t look like it came from some fancy magazine.
