ONE BOWL, ONE LOVE!
Honestly, this is such a simple cake. It comes together so quickly and easily that even if you have never ever baked a thing in your life before now, you will not be able to mess this up. Not unless you don’t read the directions. Keep the order of the ingredient list and combine the first 6 ingredients. Those are the dry ingredients. Then you’ll add the wet ingredients.
After it bakes, you’ll cool it in the pan on a wire rack. It looks just like a box mix cake, but it’s wayyyyyyyyyyy better. You’ll see. You can frost it with your favorite frosting, though the recipe gives you a very sweet and delicious chocolate buttercream recipe with it. It’s definitely worth a try, unless you have your own recipe you prefer. Or you’d rather another flavor frosting, like cream cheese for example. That would also be divine. You could even use the canned stuff if you’re pressed for time. If you have kids, let them go nuts pouring sprinkles on top. And even if your home is rugrat-free, go nuts with the sprinkles because sprinkles make everything more awesome. It’s a scientific fact!
