TURN ON YOUR STEALTH-MODE!
To make the no-bake refrigeration time fly by, my advice to you is to let these chill overnight. You can put them together after you send your kids off to bed. They’ll never even know the magical things that will be going down in your kitchen. When you serve them the next day, they’ll have the same wonderful texture as fudge. If you don’t want that though, you can leave them out for a few minutes for a change in texture.
The recipe calls for the application of the chocolate topping after these bars have set. You can microwave the chocolate chips and then after it cools for a few minutes, you can pipe it on top of the bars. You’ll have to refrigerate it again until the topping sets, but it won’t be that long. Incidentally, if you don’t want to wait overnight for the bars, as long as they have about 4 hours in the refrigerator, they’ll be firm enough. Now go forth and no-bake these up today!
