LAYERS AND LAYERS OF FLAVORS!
These are definitely special and fun. And if you’re wondering, my little princess was so happy. She ate each layer of the cupcake and frosting without picking it apart. It was a good day. Plus, her little friends all loved them too. Success! What happens is you make the batter and then split it 3 ways into 3 separate bowls. In one bowl, leave the mixture as-is. In another bowl, mix in cocoa powder. And in the last bowl, add the strawberry jam. In the strawberry one, if you find the batter a little runny, you can add a little more flour until the consistency adjusts.
In your cupcake tin, drop a little of each batter into each cupcake liner. You can use a knife to swirl it for a marbled-look or just leave it in layers, whatever you like. While it bakes, get the frosting going. Again, you’ll split it into 3 bowls. And again, one bowl will remain as-is while another gets cocoa powder added to it and the last bowl will get the strawberry jam. Pipe the frosting on in layers for a beautiful and delicious finish!
