5 MICROWAVABLE INGREDIENTS!
So since all this is happening in your microwave, you’ll need a large microwave-safe bowl to do the job. Melt the butter first. It calls for salted butter, but you could use unsalted if that’s all you have. Personally, I always have salted butter on-hand. You can add salt to your unsalted butter too if you wish. Take your melted butter and put it in your large bowl with the brown sugar and heavy cream. You’ll want to whisk it until it’s blended well and there are no more lumps. In a 4 cup microwave safe glass bowl (or larger) combine melted butter, brown sugar and heavy cream, whisking until blended and there are no lumps.
You’ll microwave that for a couple minutes and then stir. Then it will go back in for another 2 minutes. At this point, it should be bubbly and thicker. You’ll stir in the vanilla and the salt and let it cool. Don’t let it get completely cold though. You want this warm. It will start thickening up as it cools down. If you let it cool completely, you can simply reheat it in the microwave for a few seconds. Now go find something to pour this on today!
