3 POUNDS OF FUDGE COMING RIGHT UP!
I am warning you right now that this recipe makes a LOT of fudge. So please do yourself a favor and get ready to either freeze it and hide it away from yourself or share it with those you love. It makes a great gift too.
When you line your pan with foil, make sure to grease it with butter. The butter will give it that extra buttery taste. Then combine your sugar, milk and butter in a large saucepan and boil it over medium heat. You want it at a rapid boil and you cannot stop stirring until it gets to this point. Once it does, STOP stirring for 2 minutes and then take it from the heat. Marshmallows get melted in next, followed by the chocolate. Once that melts, it’s time for the vanilla. Don’t waste any time getting into the prepared pan.
It needs to cool for at least an hour. Cover it and refrigerate it for at least 3 hours and then use the foil to help you lift it from your pan. It’s at this point that you can decorate it with sprinkles or piped-on frosting. Or just leave it plain. I can guarantee no one will refuse it even if it is free of décor.
