POOF! DESSERT IS READY!
So what makes this magical? It’s the combination of sugar and water to form this splendid crust on top. The crust really gives it that extra something and really does make it a magical experience. You’ll achieve that by mixing the sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch all together. Then you’ll sprinkle it all over the top of the batter. And then the magic happens with the water. Make sure it is BOILING hot water and pour it on top. Then bake and watch the magic.
While the recipe calls for using canned peaches, feel free to use real ones. I used canned as directed but the original poster states that roughly 4 fresh peaches equals to the 3 cups that the recipe calls for. For the blackberry version, you simply need to follow the peach cobbler recipe but use 2 1/2 cups of fresh blackberries instead. You’ll also leave off the cinnamon and then you can continue with the recipe as directed.
This magical recipe that I found to make this review comes from the Mommy’s Kitchen blog. Click the link below to go visit the blog to see some more pictures and get the detailed recipe.
