BRIMMING WITH BIG COOKIE TASTE!
As an ongoing effort to quell the noise in my home, I’ve been trying to make some of the recipes I try out be cookies. Because kids will just totally buzz off if you hand them a stack of cookies and a glass of milk. You’ll get even more quiet time if you turn on some cartoons or something. I know, I’m not going to win parent of the year but I think it’s more important to get those moments of freedom in so that I can actually be a good mom and wife. I mentioned recently that my friend Trish is about to have her third baby. I made a cake for her kids’ last day of camp.
Well, the baby is here! He’s healthy and glorious. I’m so happy for her! But even though she’s got her parents in town, I knew she could use a break. So I offered to her husband to drive over the girls and they could play with my girls for a couple hours, giving them some much needed rest over there and giving the girls someone to play with besides their grandparents. Knowing I’d have a houseful of girls, I knew I better get busy whipping up a treat they’d all love. Plus, when their dad came to pick them back up, I could send him home with some for him and Trish, and her parents too. These cookies are loaded up with sweet coconut, pecans and chocolate chips. Yum! Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Loaded Chocolate Chip Cookies.
