ADD CHOCOLATE GANACHE FOR THE WIN!
Oh ho ho. Yes, I went there. Only more chocolate could possibly make this dreamy dessert the impeccable masterpiece it is. The seductive charms of ganache are calling to you. You’ve got to make this, like now.
Using a box mix makes this recipe come together more quickly, which is good because I, for one, cannot stand waiting any longer than I must for cakes. But you must be patient as you’ve got to let the cakes cool down completely before moving forward with the marshmallow middle. Leave them be in the pans for 10 minutes and then move them to a wire rack for cooling. Your patience will soon be rewarded.
And while ganache sounds fancy and tastes sublime, it only seems like a lot of work. It’s really quite easy to make. You just need chocolate and cream. Pro tip: stir until it takes on a glossy quality. Then you can pour it onto the cake.
Be forewarned though. You should NOT be alone with this cake. Don’t do it! You will totally eat it all. I may or may not speak from experience here. You’ve been warned. The recipe for this review comes from the Cookies & Cups blog.
