TIME FOR TEA, DAH-LING!
You know, I really don’t talk about scones much on here. I don’t know why. I really should. They make for a nice breakfast or a lovely accompaniment to tea in the afternoon. I like them a whole lot, but I don’t usually make them myself. Which is absurd because 1) I bake everything and 2) I love scones. Scones are what will always snag me at the supermarket bakery. Those and guava and cheese pastries. I know. I can’t help myself.
Besides, usually when I see scones in the supermarket, both kids are squabbling and driving me bonkers while I desperately try to remember what it was I was looking for. And then I’ll see the scones and think to myself, “Well Honey, you’ve earned these. Go on, get them and you can enjoy some tea with them when you get home.” In reality though, I wind up having to share them with the kids who bickered so much in the store that I left without one of the most important things on my list…juice boxes. And thus, I must go back again. That’s ok though because I made this scone recipe and now I won’t need to be distracted by scones in the supermarket again. The kids? Now that’s a different story. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Lemon Poppy Seed Scones.
