LIVE THE LEGEND!
These rolls are indeed worth the wait and the recipe makes a ton of them. The link below will take you to the recipe where the original poster gives you some truly handy tips for freezing them. I highly recommend this because instead of being stuck with more rolls than we could possibly eat while they were fresh, I had them ready to go in the freezer. In this way, I was able to make them for other meals which made my whole family happy. My husband had a lousy day at the office and when he saw these rolls again with the roast I’d made, he instantly perked right up.
Another great trick for these is to put the dough in your bread mixer and use the kneading feature. If you don’t have one, you’ll be busy for a while but I assure you, you will be thrilled with the result. The dough will go into an oiled bowl and left covered to rise and double in size.
After that, roll it out and brush it with melted butter. Then you can cut them into the shape and size you want. Again, you’ll let them rise until they double in size. Once they finish baking, brush them again with melted butter while they’re still hot. Serve immediately with a hearty dinner to make any meal more special.
