TASTE THE LEGEND!
In Salt Lake City, Utah, there’s a famous restaurant called The Lion House. Apparently, the rolls there are famed for being some of the most perfect rolls on the planet. Naturally, when I heard this, I was skeptical. I’ve had some good rolls before. I’ve never been to Utah, but I’ve been to Miami, New York City, Chicago and dozens of other big foodie cities. How could the rolls I’ve had at those places not measure up to these?
So in the name of blogging, I had to try these out. After all, this restaurant has been making these rolls since the mid-1800s. That’s a long time to be following a recipe. Old recipes are some of the best. They were made before we added preservatives to everything or before we started fusionizing our foods. While I do love rolls, I’m that person that refrains from filling up on them. So I must tell you now that these were so irresistibly soft, fluffy, buttery, pillowy and perfect that I broke my rule of not filling up on bread. No wonder they’re so famous. These could bring world peace, no joke. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Legendary Lion House Rolls.
