COOKIES WITHOUT THE DRAMA!
Cookies are typically pretty easy as far as making and baking them. But when you make no-bake cookies, things get even easier. If this summer heat is getting you down, you can make these babies without breaking a sweat, quite literally! So first things first…you’ll mix your sugar, cocoa, butter and milk over medium-low heat and get it to boil. Allow the boiling to carry on for a minute before removing from the heat.
Then you’ll add in some more stuff, specifically the peanut butter, oats, vanilla, pretzels, peanuts and caramels. Marshmallows are the last to be added. Then you’ll scoop this glorious goo onto wax paper and allow it to set. I will say this – if you’re looking for a nut-free recipe, this isn’t the way to go. Sure, you could leave out the peanuts and add more pretzels, but the peanut butter is necessary for holding this all together. Oh and if you’re a coconut-nut, you could add a little bit of coconut to these for a more tropical flair. I’ll have to try that next time.
