LAY IT ON ME!
Like all cookies, dough is really easy to create. Just mix everything as instructed until it comes together. No need to chill it either. Nice! These cookies get dropped onto your parchment paper-lined baking trays. You can make thicker cookies if you choose by rolling them into balls too. However you choose to do it, don’t over-bake these cookies. They are done when the edges are just slightly golden in color. You want them to be soft inside.
As these bake, you’ll get your glaze going. DO NOT boil the butter and sugar! You just want to melt the butter and dissolve the sugar, stirring all the while. The glaze will need to cool so it can thicken, just for a few minutes. Once the cookies come out of the oven, use a teaspoon to pour glaze over the top of each cookie. The cookies should be warm while you’re doing this. In the chance you’ve mistimed things and your glaze gets thick, just heat it up a little bit to thin it out. No worries! Once the glaze has set, finish these babies off with a dusting of powdered sugar for a beautiful, not to mention tasty, touch.
