ADJUST ACCORDINGLY!
So, if you don’t drink alcohol, here is my solution for grown-ups only. Instead of using Kahlua but to get that same taste, for every 2 tablespoons of the liqueur, you will need to use ½ to 1 teaspoon of chocolate extract plus a teaspoon of instant coffee. That instant coffee should be mixed up with 2 tablespoons of water too. Additionally, if you’re not feeling that, you can use espresso, non-alcoholic coffee extract or even coffee syrup. Just add enough to your tastes.
But coffee is not kid-friendly, so if you’ll be making milkshakes with the kids too, make up a batch for them first using just chocolate syrup, chocolate extract or any other flavoring you can think of. Once they’re on their way with their milkshakes, make the grown-up ones, either with or without alcohol, to suit your tastes. Oh and for whatever milkshake you make, you simply must top it off with whipped cream. Because that’s the pinnacle of awesomeness right there. Oh yeah! Enjoy!
