Recipes that are simple AND delicious are always a winner in my book. What’s more is this one starts out with something so basic – white bread – and turns it into something spectacular. You can use any brand of white bread you wish. Trim off the crusts if you want, too. Then roll it as flat as you can get it. Incidentally, if you loathe white bread, you can use wheat but it will change the taste a bit as well as the texture. If you’re not put off by those things then go for it.
You can also opt to use a reduced fat cream cheese for the filling. I did and I couldn’t taste a difference. Don’t overfill the slices of bread before you roll them up or guess what? You’ll wind up with an ugly mess of leaky wraps that won’t have any filling left in them. Other than that, it’s a super quick and easy way to make something sweet for any time!
