EASIER THAN YOU EXPECT!
You won’t regret giving these a try. They’re really easy once you get going. Make sure to oil your pan really well and then mix up the ingredients as called for. When it comes to the sugar mixture, you’ll need to get it to boil and then cover it for several minutes. Then you’ll use your candy thermometer to help you get the right temperature. With this candy as well as most others, a candy thermometer is an essential item that you should never attempt to make candy without or you will have A LOT of wasted time, product and money.
One thing to keep in mind is that the chocolate nougat will be really tough to work with. Be sure to oil your hands really well when you press it into a nice, flat slab. Let it cool completely for several hours or even better, overnight. Once it’s ready, you’ll cut it up into squares and then dip into melted chocolate. Let them set in the fridge, or freeze them for an extra awesome treat!
