MOVE OVER, CHOCOLATE!
All kidding aside, I can hardly believe I am suggesting that anything in the world could pair better with peanut butter than chocolate. I feel downright dirty suggesting it, actually. I almost didn’t make these wonderful little Peanut Butter Snowballs because of my sincere dedication to the Peanut Butter and Chocolate union.
But just one bite and I couldn’t deny it.
The smooth and lovely vanilla candy wafers, when melted, are the perfect canvas to highlight the creamy and rich texture of peanut butter. This wonderful take on a buckeye looks beautiful on the plate and melts in the mouth. I might not be ready to break up with Peanut Butter and Chocolate as a team but I was more than willing to experiment with something new.
Be sure to make good use of your candy thermometer when working with candy wafers. If you are not careful, the wafers can become chunky and crystalized, thus ruining your entire effort. Take the time and be sure to use the necessary tools to create these little beauties. You will be glad you did.
And give my regards to chocolate. This peanut butter and vanilla union was discovered by yours truly for this review at the Taste of Home website, click the link below to go visit the site and get the detailed recipe.
