TURN BACK TIME!
When you’re a kid, you don’t really get the concept of forever. You don’t think that anything good will ever come to an end. It’s a harsh reality we’re sometimes suddenly thrust into when we get our first dose of this. Some of us have to find this out while we’re still kids while others are slightly more fortunate and don’t get hit with this lesson until they’re adults. It took me many years to come to terms with Grandma being gone, especially in the little things. I think about the last time I got to taste her pancakes or one of her pies, and at that time I had no idea that it would be my last time tasting something she made herself.
She left behind many index cards written in classic cursive detailing some of her best recipes but because of storage and weathering, they are deteriorating. Finding these recipes though has been like a treasure trove of happiness for me to be able to recreate things I thought I’d never get to taste again. That’s why this recipe made me feel right at home. I love that the original poster kept testing it out until she got it right. It’s a wonderful recipe for muffins that my husband and kids were thrilled to enjoy for breakfast this morning. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make Grandma’s Honey Muffins.
