SHARE A COKE WITH YOUR CAKE!
You’re going to love that this is so easy AND so rich. Serve it at a potluck and watch people gasp in complete surprise when you tell them the secret ingredient. Get it ready by mixing the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Then you’ll boil the cola, butter and cocoa in a small saucepan. Don’t go crazy boiling it. It only needs to reach a boil before you remove it from the heat. The flour mixture gets added to that next.
In another bowl, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla need to be well-blended before they get added to the flour mixture. You need to really whisk this good without stopping. You’ll want it to have a nice batter consistency. While the cake is baking, you’ll make the glaze. Allow about 15 minutes before the cake will finish in the oven. By the time you get the glaze finished, the cake should be ready. You’ll pour it over the cake while it’s hot. Try resisting the urge to eat it immediately and at the very least, allow it to cool down to warm.
