TURN YOUR FROWN UPSIDE DOWN!
Using German chocolate cake mix is what helps get this off the ground and running so quickly. Before you prep the batter though, prep your pan and then pour melted butter followed by brown sugar, pecans and part of the coconut in that order onto the pan. Then, you’ll prepare the batter as the box instructs, except you’ll add the rest of the coconut to it. You’ll pour the batter in. Then you’ll make your cream cheese mixture and drop it onto the batter.
Now, what’s cool here is that the cream cheese will sink down into the cake as it bakes so it will become more of a surprise inside the cake. From the top, all you’ll see is chocolaty goodness. Bake it up and see what happens.
Another thing you need to know is that because this involves cream cheese, you must store this in the fridge. You don’t want a cake this amazing to go to waste, do you? That would be cake abuse!
