JUST 4 INGREDIENTS!
What’s extra fantastic about these fried lemon pies is that you can use any filling you can think of to make these fried pies. Cherry, blueberry, strawberry, apple, peach…you get the idea. Even chocolate and marshmallow for a s’more style! See? God, I’m going to have to try out every flavor. I just did the lemon and it was amazing. You could also make the filling yourself instead of using canned stuff. Up to you. I went with canned filling because I didn’t feel like whipping up lemon curd myself.
By the way, after you roll out your pie crust and seal any cracks, only add about 2 tablespoons of filling. If you over-stuff it, it will just leak out as you’re frying it and create a dreadful mess, especially when you’re attempting to flip it to fry the other side. When your pies are done, drain them on paper towels and let them cool a few minutes before dusting them up with powdered sugar and then serving them. You can also add a hit of lemon zest with the sugar dusting to give it even more panache. What flavor will you make?
