Even if you’ve never cooked before, you can totally handle this fudge. The recipe handily gives you a choice between using your stove top or microwaving it. Chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and salt get microwaved together. Check the mixture after one minute and then stir.
Then microwave in 30-second increments to prevent scorching. Once it’s all melty and good, you’ll stir in the extract and then, if you want, nuts. Nuts are always optional on something like this which is good news for people with nut allergies. I personally adore nuts but not so much in my fudge. I always leave them off. You can use different flavors of extracts to give your fudge a different kind of taste too. This recipe calls for vanilla extract but you could totally do mint or orange or banana or coconut even!
