BERRY SIMPLE!
With this dessert, you need to get the crust together and bake it first. But because it’s so quick, it won’t heat up your kitchen too much. The crust is made from walnuts, butter and brown sugar. And it’s SO good. If you have a problem with nuts or someone you’re serving does, you can always swap that out with graham cracker crumbs. While the crust cooks, you’ll want to stir it several times to cook it all evenly. When it’s done, you’ll scoop out some that you will use to sprinkle on top.
Meanwhile, as all this is happening, get your strawberry mixture together. If berries aren’t in season when you go to make this, you can always use frozen BUT! Remember that fresh always tastes best. Because this is a frozen dessert, you’ll only need the berries to be mixable. They can still be mostly frozen. Just watch out not to include too much of the juice or your mixture will get too runny.
Once you have the strawberry mixture completed, you’ll spread it over your crust and then sprinkle that bit of crust you snagged earlier on top. Freeze it and then make sure that you let it sit out about 20 to 30 minutes before you serve it or else you’ll have a lot of sad guests.
