IT ONLY TAKES 2 INGREDIENTS!
Yes, that’s right. It surprised me too that this rich and delicious buttercream only required 2 ingredients. Semi-sweet chocolate chips and butter. THAT’S IT. Really! It couldn’t be easier either. Just melt those 2 things together. It will soon turn into a runny-looking chocolate soup. When that happens, you’ll chill it in the fridge. It will form a solid block which may take on an ugly appearance thanks to the butter separating in the cold temperature of your fridge.
You’re not done yet though. No. But remember, if you headed out to the store to buy your can of frosting, you’d still be there now, waiting behind a lady paying with a check and some others with 1,000 coupons and you know it. Once it’s solid, you’ll have to leave it out and let it get to room temperature. Then you can beat it. Like Michael Jackson. Ha! Ok, I just officially dated myself there, didn’t I. Sigh. No need to moonwalk but once you whip this up for a couple minutes in your mixer, you will indeed be walking on the moon thanks to this fluffy and chocolaty buttercream!
