JUST 7 INGREDIENTS!
You know, flourless chocolate cake really only looks complicated. And it tastes complex too, but making it is really a walk in the park. Now the recipe calls for the use of 14 8-ounce jars so you’re going to want to either make this for a dinner party OR cut the recipe in half. Up to you. You’ll melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Once it’s smooth, take it from the heat and let it cool down just a teensy bit. You’ll beat your egg whites until stiff peaks happen in another bowl and set that aside.
Then you’ll use your mixer to beat the sugar and egg yolks. It will become thick and creamy and then some of that melted chocolate mixture will go into it. Keep mixing as you slowly pour the remaining melted chocolate into it. Then you’ll fold the egg whites into this. Next comes the fun part. You’ll spoon some of the batter into each of your greased jars and then bake. The tops will start to crack and that’s how you know you’re good to go. After it cools, give it a nice dusting of confectioners’ sugar. You can serve it warm or at room temperature. Warm is so decadent. Fresh raspberries also make a wonderful garnish.
