BELLY UP TO THIS BAR!
If you’re not making these for the holidays, try them for a bake sale, potluck or any other event with lots of people. Because you will have 4 dozen bars when all is said and done and that is A LOT of bars, isn’t it? This has to be one of the easiest from-scratch bar recipes I’ve ever seen. Honestly. Ready? You’ll be done in no time. While the oven preheats, mix your ingredients for the crust. You’ll mush that down into your greased baking pan. It bakes for 20 minutes this way. And while it does, you can get that filling ready.
When the crust is done, you’ll need to pour the filling on it immediately while it’s hot. There’s no waiting here, love. Once that happens, pop it back into the oven until the filling sets, about 25 to 30 minutes. These need to cool before you cut them or guess what? Big ol’ mess. Patience, my dears! Patience!
