FAST AND FRUITY!
This is one easy cobbler too. If you’re new to baking, try it. Cobblers are great because they don’t need to look perfect to impress. You’ll get the blackberry filling ready first. When it’s thickened, you can pour it into your greased baking dish. Be sure to drop bits of butter on it. Then you’ll make the topping. It’s ready when it forms coarse crumbs. You’ll randomly plop that onto your hot blackberry filling.
And then you bake it. That’s it. Seriously. All you need to worry about next is should you serve it with vanilla ice cream? Or whipped cream. Or…both? Ooooh. Come on now. You’ve got to go for it. The only thing better than ice cream on top of this is topping that ice cream with fresh whipped cream. If you’re like my dad, you will tell me to keep spiraling a tower of whipped cream on top until you say stop, which will likely be when the whole can is empty. No judgment.
