NO DISHPAN REQUIRED!
Another day, another chocolate chip cookie recipe that will make you swoon. That’s just how I roll. But honestly for the life of me, I cannot even figure out why these are called “dishpan cookies.” I have scrolled up and down through the original poster’s post and I can’t find any good reason for this name.
“Dishpan” is such a dreadful word, isn’t it? I mean, it makes me think of “dishwater blonde” which isn’t a very flattering thing to be. Why not platinum? You know? But don’t let the name put you off to a truly wonderful version of the chocolate chip cookie. It’s nice and chewy, thanks to cornflakes, sweetened coconut flakes and oats. It makes a nice base for which to carry those fabulous chocolate chips. Because, let’s face it, they’re totally the star of the show here. They’re quick and easy to make so why not bake up a batch and have them ready for the kids when they get home? After school will never be sweeter! Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Dishpan Cookies.
